POKOTABI / KISMAT KITCHEN
KISMAT KITCHEN
KISMAT KITCHEN in Higashi-Ogu, Arakawa Ward, serves crisp Korean fried chicken, hearty pancakes, and warming soups, available for casual dining in or takeout.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Located in Higashi-Ogu, KISMAT KITCHEN offers an easygoing spot to enjoy beloved Korean comforts, from crisp fried chicken to fragrant, pan-fried savoury pancakes. The signature chicken comes in a variety of flavours alongside classic fried chicken, including sweet-and-spicy yangnyeom, galbi-style sauce, and cheese seasoning powder, with portion sizes ranging from a manageable four pieces to generous family-sized platters.
The à la carte menu is just as broad, featuring classic Korean street foods like generously filled seafood or vegetable pancakes, chewy tteokbokki, and bulgogi kimbap. For a more substantial meal, piping-hot soups paired with rice offer satisfying comfort, with choices such as slow-simmered gomtang beef bone soup, spicy yukgaejang, and seafood sundubu stew.
Although the dining room is casual and compact, the drinks list includes draft beer, various sours, fresh draft makgeolli, and scorched-rice makgeolli, making it well suited for enjoying a drink alongside shared small plates. In addition to dining inside, the shop accommodates takeout and curbside pickup, making it just as convenient for an effortless Korean meal at home.
